If you follow our web page and social media, I don't have to tell you that people are hammering the stripers...and they are all big. Mostly 40 inches and beyond!
Very few slot fish to report, so, if you are intent on keeping one, that's not what's happening right now. If you are intent in putting a big bend in your rod and see what shape your drag system is in after a long winter, this fishery is for you.
What is happening are big, big fish. Top water, swimmers , jigs, glide baits, soft plastics....it's all working and it's working on drag screaming sized fish.
Bottom fishing has really picked up the past few days. We are seeing pics and videos of nice sized scup, sea bass and togs. It's been a Nantucket Sound fishery to this point , but with rapidly increasing water temps, this should spread to all sides of the Cape by weekend.
The moral of this story? It's been an epic last two weeks. Go fishing.
