It's finally heating up out there ...in more ways than one.

Increasing water temps have some guys fishing wire or lead core to get down to where the fish are hanging out during the middle of the day. Not saying there is no top water bite, but we have been hearing more about that at dawn and dusk the past few days.

In Cape Cod Bay, our kayak fishing and wading customers are doing decent on the flats early mornings and afternoons. The stripers are starting to switch over to smaller bait, so bring some Ron Z's and the like if you are going to give it a try.

Offshore in the Bay, Goose Endorsed charter Capt Steve Leary has started catching them good again after the few days of North East blow has finally moved off. He is on to wire and jigs the past couple days

 in Nantucket Sound, Capt Greg Weisel has been hammering decent stripers in theNantucket Sound/ Monomoy area for his fly fishing customers and sending us tons of good reports and pics since the weekend.

Danny , manager of the shop, did well at Monomoy yesterday wth fish up to 35 inches.

If you are a freshwater fisherman, ponds are getting hot...and not in a fishing sense. You are going to want to start fishing deeper if you are making a day time trip. Early mornngs and evenings are primetime now.And probably for the rest of the Summer...

If the tides for the saltwater aren't favorable, grab your freshwater stick and hit the ponds. We have seen some truly large bass pics and videos from the Cape Cod kettle ponds this spring!​​
