Goose Hummock Fishing Report 6/6/25

06/06/25.

If you are frequent visitor to this website, you have probably taken note that Capt Steve Leary, Wingman Charters, has been on some big fish this week in Cape Cod Bay. This seems to be very much a Cape Cod Bay spring with the bulk of the reports, pics and videos coming from this side of the Cape.

Nantucket Sound beaches have been a little on the quiet side. Some reports and pics of decent stripers, but most credible reports are of sporadic, smaller fish. What has been decent on the Soundside are the tog, sea bass and flatfish fisheries. We have pics and videos from Capt Doug Edmonds on a tog trip this week that saw fish in the 10-12 lb range.

Offshore in Nantucket Sound, Capt Greg Weisel has been hammering decent stripers in the Harwich/ Chatham area for his customers.

If you are a freshwater fisherman, reports have slowed to a trickle since most of our customer base transitions over to striper fishing once it becomes a surer bet....doesn't mean freshwater isn't good right now. June is primetime post spawn time in most of our ponds for largemouth and smallmouth fishing.

If the tides for the saltwater aren't favorable, grab your freshwater stick and hit the ponds. We have seen some truly large bass pics and videos from the Cape Cod kettle ponds ths spring!

Cape Cod springtime fishing is in full swing...get out there!
