A well-known charter boat captain, Macallister helped to popularize “Harpoon Hunting” for bluefin tuna – a sustainable approach to fishing that involves using a harpoon to target and capture the fish.  He has appeared on multiple reality shows, including on Discovery Channel. 

Macallister was a lifelong resident of Cape Cod until he married and settled in Mattapoisett with his wife, Cindy and Black Lab Zeke in 2001.  He has served his adopted hometown for over 20 years in a variety of capacities – including the last thirteen as an elected member of the Select Board. He has been working diligently to keep his seaside community a safe and affordable place to live, work, raise a family and retire.   Macallister is now running for Congress and will be a fierce advocate for both recreational and commercial fishermen.
